The State Of Dixie Chopper

As we enter the 2020 mowing season, we’ve noticed that many customers are confused about Dixie Chopper. Are they still in business? Are they still making mowers? Etc. We thought we’d take some time to clear the air and publically answer a lot of the questions that we’ve been getting.

Is Dixie Chopper still in Business?

Yes. They were purchased in August by Rhino Ag and production was moved to Gibson City Illinois where they’ve built a new manufacturing facility.

Is Humphreys Outdoor Power going to continue to sell Dixie Choppers?

Yes. We’ve placed orders for our 2020 inventory and still have plenty of Dixie Deals- Scratch and Dent mowers in stock from when they moved the facility. We are standing by Dixie as they continue to grow, they’re still our local mower!

Are parts going to be available?

Yes. Even when production of new machines stopped last year in the midst of Rhino Ag’s purchase, we’ve been able to get parts for new and old machines. The Dixie Chopper parts depot is still here in Greencastle just down the street which makes getting parts we don’t have in inventory simple.

Is my Warranty still good?

Yes. All manufacturer’s warranties are still honored. If you have any issues, bring them to Humphreys’ and we’ll take care of it for you.

Are they making new products?

Yes. As stated above they are manufacturing new 2020 Dixies in Gibson City. We will stock the Zee 2, Blackhawk, Blackhawk HP, Eagle, Eagle HP, Classic and Excalibur models.

Is the Quality as good as it used to be?

Yes, if not better! We toured the new facility in Gibson city and were very impressed with the process and what we saw. The new machines are coming in closer to tolerance than they have ever been.

The moral of the story is that Dixie Chopper is back, and we’re still here servicing and selling them!
