About Us

Phil Humphreys started Humphreys' Wheel Horse in 1966 in Greencastle, Indiana. Working out of a small garage behind his house, he sold Lawn Boy & Wheel Horse products as well as small engine repair. With the help of his wife Joyce, the business soon began to grow.

In 1972 they moved Humphreys Wheel Horse to its current location on Jackson Street. In 1975, Humphreys' signed on as a Kubota dealer. In 1987, the business changed its name to Humphreys' Outdoor Power.

Though the industry and the buildings have changed greatly since 1966, the basic philosophy behind Humphreys' has remained the same - We are one of the last true Servicing Dealers, who emphasize SERVICE!

From I 70 - Take the Cloverdale/Greencastle Exit. Turn North onto US 231. Follow US 231 to Greencastle, around the courthouse square. Continue on US 231 through town, across a railroad track. We are 2 blocks from the railroad track on the left side ( on US 231 ) directly across from Farm Bureau Insurance. You will see all the Kubota's lined up.

From US 36 - Turn South onto US 231. Follow US 231 into Greencastle, go under the railroad Vi-dock, look for the Kubota's on the right.
